Go ahead, take a hike on our many trails and walks.

Walk, run, climb, stroll, or puddle jump on the many walks and hikes in and around Tofino. Pull on some gumboots, hiking boots or running shoes for all-terrain exploration, or discoveries along the boardwalks of the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.

If you're looking to stay right in Tofino, then the Tonquin Trail  & Tonquin Connector by Tonquin Beach, with its shoreline skimming views of the Pacific Ocean, may be for you. Looking to get your feet wet, but not too wet? Climb aboard a water taxi or a sea kayak and head to nearby Meares Island to walk the Big Tree Trail. Also on Meares Island, the hike up Lone Cone is an uphill battle with the brush, giving way to heavenly views of Clayoquot Sound.

The neighbouring community of Ucluelet is home to the Wild Pacific Trail, a scenic and pleasant walk along the rocky shoreline off Barkley Sound and the tempestuous shipwreck-prone waters once known as The Graveyard of the Pacific.
