Getting around while in Tofino

Getting around Tofino this summer will be a breeze. Traveling to and from town by foot, bike, blades or board is easy on our Multi-Use Path (MUP). The MUP Begins in the heart of town and extends along side the Pacific Rim Highway to the Cox Bay Visitor Information Centre (8km) connecting you to many of our beaches along the way.

If you're tuckered out after a long day of adventure, consider taking it easy with a ride from Tofino Taxi (250-725-3333).

In addition to Tofino’s popular multi use path and our local taxi provider, this season, residents and visitors can get around town by taking a free shuttle.

From end of June to early September, the service will run hourly between 11:00 am and 8:30 pm. The shuttle will begin in downtown Tofino and travel to the Cox Bay Visitor Information Centre with stops convenient to local beaches, restaurants and businesses.  Riders can hop on or off the bus at any stop along the route. You can even load up your surfboard.

The free seasonal shuttles service is paid for through a blend of Resort Municipality Initiative and Federal Gas Tax Agreement funding. The District has contracted locally owned Tofino Bus to operate the 2015 and 2016 service.  More information on the 2017 Shuttle coming soon!
