At Shelter, we use local, organic ingredients and ethically raised, all-natural meats whenever possible. The salmon, halibut and prawns are caught by Tofino fisherman, the poultry is free run and farmed on Vancouver Island. We offer hormone free, grass-fed beef, as well as anti-biotic and hormone free pork, including bacon from the Fraser Valley.

SoBo is a family restaurant. SoBo means Sophisticated Bohemian.
A combination of boldly imaginative, world-wise dishes expertly prepared with simple, fresh, locally produced & often wild ingredients and served in an environment that is somehow both elegant and rustic.
Sophisticated Bohemian not only represents the style of culinary integrity and relaxed ambience that Artie and Lisa Ahier have cultivated, it also reflects the personality of Tofino itself.

The Resort’s location on the edge of Cox Bay, offers breathtaking ocean views from the wild and beautiful west coast that is unique to Vancouver Island. Equally spectacular is the impressive interior architecture of the Great Room. The open concept enables uninterrupted views of nature while the modern furnishings, wood accents and fireplace features provide the warmth and feeling of a living room setting.
Surveying the panoramic vistas from the westernmost point of Tofino’s idyllic Chesterman Beach, The Pointe Restaurant’s inspired West Coast cuisine and attentive service come gift-wrapped with 240 degree views of the Pacific Ocean, surrounding islands and wildlife. Much of the fresh seafood is fished from the very waters overlooked by The Pointe, and a longstanding focus on locally sourced, high quality ingredients is evident. Dinner is offered on a seasonal à la carte menu, but for the best of the best, try Chef de Cuisine Nick Nutting’s weekly tasting menu; Daily brunch is a true treat.
