This is a quiet festival month in Tofino. Some locals are storm watching with visitors to the area and others have taken the time for a break somewhere in the sun and usually with warm water surf!
Tofino Film Festival
Tofino is unlike any other destination, and this film festival reflects the individuality of our West Coast with a wonderful array of films.
Pacific Rim Whale Festival
It's an all-out celebration of coastal living! It's about grey whales and marine life education, inspirational talks and interpretive walks, children's fun for the small and culinary events for the tall, First Nations cultural workshops and more - come and experience a coastal tradition.
ArtSplash! is the annual spring art show presented by the Pacific Rim Arts Society featuring art from all ages in different media from clay, watercolour, carving, jewellery, photography and even recycable art.
Tofino's Earth Week inspires awareness and appreciation for the Earth's natural environment. Events include a pancake breakfast, special public market, community clean-ups along with many other outdoor and indoor activities.
Join us for this annual boat-to-table culinary extravaganza, where we feast on locally-caught and beautifully prepared seafood in a rich variety of settings. Past events have featured stand-up paddleboarding followed by a beach salmon BBQ, a Belgian-inspired mussel and frites evening, and a speakeasy soirée in the Tofino Botanical Gardens with 1920s-inspired cocktails.
Tofino Shorebird Festival
Did you know that Tofino is one of the best places in western Canada for bird watching? Every year, the Tofino Shorebird Festival celebrates the annual migration of the thousands of shorebirds that stop here to feed and rest as they make their impressive journey from South and Central America northward to their Arctic breeding grounds.
Tofino Food & Wine Festival
Celebrate the marriage of food and wine during this well-loved event. This four-day festival includes cocktail style evenings and winemaker dinners. Grazing in the Gardens, the Festival's anchor event, showcases local culinary talent and British Columbia wines in the incomparably whimsical Tofino Botanical Gardens.

Pacific Rim Summer Festival
A festival of music, dance, theatre, film, and art in Tofino and Ucluelet.
Ukee Days is a hallmark week-end just down the road from Tofino, in Ucluelet. The normally sleepy(ish) seaside town of Ucluelet (or Ukee, as it is referred to in this neck of the woods) explodes in a summery haze of logger sports, live music, entertainment, contests and small-town fun.
Tofino Salt Water Classic Fishing Derby
Each year, former National Hockey League (NHL) player Brendan Morrison hosts the annual Tofino Saltwater Classic fishing derby, a fundraising event that supports local community initiatives.
Tofino Lantern Festival
The magical, forested pathways of the Tofino Botanical Gardens are dotted with imaginative hand-made lanterns during this late August evening event. The Tofino Lantern Festival is the signature community event and fundraiser for the Raincoast Education Society, drawing the young and young at heart under Tofino's starry skies. In the week leading up to the Festival, lantern-making workshops are held at the Raincoast Interpretive Centre for lantern crafters of all ages.
Tofino and Ucluelet’s jaw-dropping natural playground hosts a budding music festival: Otalith, showcasing 30 acts at indoor clubs, outdoor stages and on a sprawling green lawn at the rocking outdoor Main Stage. .
Carving On the Edge Festival
The Carving on the Edge Festival celebrates the Pacific Rim's rich wood carving scene and history. Visit traditional and contemporary art shows, demonstrations and exhibits, while meeting wood carvers face to face. This culturally diverse event is not to be missed.
Cultural Heritage Festival
The spotlight shines on west coast culture and heritage at the Cultural Heritage Festival, a production of the Pacific Rim Arts Society.

Queen of the Peak
Western Canada's all-female surf contest started in 2009 as a "what if" idea from local surf enthusiasts. It has grown into a week of events shining the spotlight on the west coast's amazing female surf talent. The two-day surf competition includes both longboard and shortboard category and features a surf contest for gromettes under 16 years of age.
Clayoquot Oyster Festival
So many toasts will be made with oysters in hand during oyster farm tours, oyster and wine tastings, educational seminars where we learn more about our favorite bivalves, the Mermaid's Ball and of course the ever popular and decadent Oyster Gala.
Jingle Into Christmas
